Together NC is a collection of more than 100 non-profit organizations, service providers, and professional associations who have come together to promote wise choices that will build shared prosperity for all. The coalition represents millions of North Carolinians.
We believe that, despite economic and budget challenges, now is a critical time to take action that keeps North Carolina moving forward for the long term. We’re all on this road together. Together NC urges lawmakers to use these guiding principles as a roadmap to craft a state budget that works for everyone:
• Build upon sound public investments
• Think big, think forward for long-term solutions
• Take a balanced approach to the budget, not just cut to the bone
• Make revenue solutions adequate, stable and fair
